To complement the already existing structures and efforts by government and nutrition stakeholders we currently have in stock Albendazoles, Vitamin A 100,000 IU (blue pill) for children between 12 – 23 months or 1yr up to 2yrs and Vitamin A 200,0000 IU (red pill) for children between 24 – 59 months or 2yrs up to 5yrs and multivitamins for pregnant and lactating mothers. These multivitamins are currently in our warehouses in Juba and are intended to be distributed and reach over 50,000 beneficiaries (30,000 under-five children and 20,000 pregnant and lactating women) across South Sudan for the period of twelve months (September 2020 – September 2021).

Our overall goal is to “provide vitamin A supplementation to children under 5 years and multivitamins to PLW; support and promote appropriate infant and young child feed practices through community awareness; train health workers and Community Nutrition Volunteers”. These are vital micronutrients to fight Vitamin A deficiency in children and malnutrition in pregnancy.
